This is an absolutely lovely little light for the area above my sink. It's 18" long, about 2.5" deep, and about 1" in height. There are 6 LED lightbulbs in it that create six distinct areas of light that alternate with shadow in the fixture itself, creating a bit of "visual texture" in the look. The satin nickel finish matches the sink fixtures and looks great too.I wasn't terribly familiar with matching specific light qualities to types when I purchased this fixture, so went to a lighting store in my area and talked with one of the salesmen. LED lights are more expensive than the traditional incandescent fixtures that many of us are used to in the home, but they don't create as much heat and the bulbs never have to be replaced. (The fixture will have to be replaced eventually, but they last an absurdly long time.) I think they're prettier than the fluorescent lights typically associated with office overhead lights, but if you're not sure of the kind of light LEDs give out, I'd suggest going to a local big box hardware store or lighting store to get a better sense of it. From my own experience, it was much cheaper to purchase on amazon and arrived faster because it was out of stock at the local store. Shipping was fast and well done; it was packed tightly with lots of padding. This fixture puts out a fair bit of light - plenty for working in the sink, though I turn on the recessed lighting when I'm doing more than feeding the cat or washing dishes. The fixture installs onto the bottom of a cabinet or overhang. It's very light-weight and is a little smaller (height and depth) than the old fixture I had in place, so I did a little patching on my wall to conceal a few places the painters had missed back when they built the house (and apparently installed the old light fixture prior to painting). I was having other work done and had the electrician install this while he was here. He had a number of choice words for the old fixture (which was challenging to remove), but didn't seem to have trouble with this one. The wires come out of the back of the fixture (the part that would go up against the wall) about in the middle of the fixture, so if you're replacing an old fixture you may want to try matching those up. We had to shift the hole that was in my wall a bit toward center to work correctly, but the hole ended up getting completely covered by the fixture itself. The light has been hanging for several months now in my house. I leave it on all the time as a nightlight for the cat; it uses hardly any electricity, creates very, very little heat (I can barely feel heat when I touch it - fabulous for Florida where the AC is always fighting to keep the place cool!), and looks much nicer than the old, white, plastic kitchen light I used to have. I'm very happy with this great little light! The vendor-claimed color temperature and CRI are quite good at 2900K and 85 CRI. I don't know if these numbers are accurate, but the color is definitely warmer than my flashlight that uses a Cree XM-L LED rated as 4A/4B/4C/4D tint bin, which is around 4500K. Whether the BA-LED4 is as warm as 2900K, I don't know. Still, I like the color temperature, whatever it really is, in my kitchen. It is a clean color, with no noticeable greenish, bluish, or purplish tinge. I have a white backsplash, so a bad tinge would be very noticeable. I also don't notice any problems with accurate color rendition. Foods look like they are the proper color. The light is nicely diffused, so the entire countertop is evenly lit (I have 2 LED4 and 2 LED8 modules spread over about 12 feet of counter). The units run cool with no humming or flickering. The lights come on instantly at full brightness, with no blinking, unlike fluorescents. The units themselves also look good. Normally for an undercabinet kitchen light, I would not have thought that cosmetics would be a big deal. But the reflection from my light grey, polished granite countertop shows the lights clearly enough that an ugly light would have been undersirable. The only negative is that you need to use a electronic low voltage dimmer switch if you want to be able to dim the WAC, and the Lutron ELV dimmer switch is much more expensive than a switch like the Lutron Diva CL dimmer. We replaced the fluorescent light above the kitchen sink with this. It's brighter, but doesn't light as big an area as the old light. Also, the led bulbs are individually seen--kind of like little spotlights, instead of one solid light; just different, I guess we'll get used to it. If you look directly at it, you have spots in front of your eyes for a minute later-that's how bright it is. This light is attractive and low profile. I'm very satisfied, other than the price.update--Well, it's two years later, and the light is still satisfactory. It's on 24/7, and no problems to report.I was looking for something to replace the 3 bulb halogen lighting over my gas range. It wasn't easy to find a 30 inch wide bar like this. The quality of the fixture seems top notch, and yes it is pricey. It comes with no cord, so you will need a BA-PC6-WT if you want to plug it in. Otherwise you can hard wire it. It does come with connectors to connect several fixtures end to end. Strange, there were no mounting screws included, but I may have missed them in the unpacking. The light itself is VERY nice from 10 evenly spaced LEDs, and the color rendering is also quite nice. I now have much MORE light over my range, and a much cooler operating fixture, and only use 10 watts, instead of 75 watts. Works for me!I searched a long time before I found these excellent under cabinet lights for my kitchen renovation. They're a little pricey (I bought 7 of them), but Home Depot and Lowes simply don't carry anything like this. They are dimmable, and I control one side of the kitchen with one dimmer switch and the other side with another switch. We purchased several of these units to replace some fluorescent under-cabinet lighting in our kitchen. The fluorescents were hard-wired already, so we were able to re-use the existing wiring. The build quality of these units is excellent; I especially appreciated the built-in wire loops that let you hang the fixture from the mounting template while you are connecting the wires. With the wires already in place, the install was easy for any DIYer. They are very low profile, so they stay out of sight, and the light quality is great. They are expensive but beautiful - the only problem we thought was that the switch was on the left side and the connecting wire was in the back but in the middle - would have been nice if the wiring would have been on the end...
